Mix it Up, Learn to Belt - Teen Pop/ Musical Theater Vocal Lab

July 6 - August 28

T/W/Th 2pm-2:25pm PT

Ages 13-17

Belt in a healthy and sustainable way for pop and musical theater. Learn “the vocal mix” -the anatomy, breath, and coordination in a supportive environment. Basic music reading ability is helpful (ability to follow a music score), but not required.

Saturday Sing Virtual - Inspired Music Play

Saturdays 8:30am-8:50am PT

Ages: infant- age 6 and their families

Sing out loud with your little ones, to create, laugh, dance, and share. 

Materials: Please bring your clapping hands, your stomping feet and your sing out loud voices!

Cost: Free; donations accepted

Vocal Music Major

Boot Camp

July 6 - August 28

T/W/Th 12pm-12:25pm PT

Ages 15-19

Ear Training, Sightsinging, Diction, Acting and Critical text analysis, Solo repertoire vocal lab with the goal of preparation for college as a vocal music major. Concurrent study with a private voice teacher is highly encouraged. This class is intended to supplement your private study goals.

Materials: Access to a web browser/ tablet, Piano or piano keyboard app, Folk songs text link, Scribd app recommended for sheet music library link, Practical Theory text linkPilates ring  and/or resistance bands optional/ recommended.

Inspired Music Play Family Class -
In Person and Outside!

July 6 - August 28

Saturdays 11:30am-12:10pm PT Babies & Toddlers 

Saturdays 12:15pm-12:55pm PT Toddlers & Preschoolers 

Ages: Babies, Toddlers, Preschoolers and their families

 

NOTE: I’m vaccinated and ideally all adults are too! Please refer to CDC/ CA Dept. of Health guidelines here for latest guidance and protocols

 

Sing out loud with your little ones, to play, create, laugh, dance, and share. Brain-core movements will be emphasized. Concepts and Philosophy

Materials: Please bring a blanket, your clapping hands, your stomping feet and your sing out loud voices! “BYOI” encouraged (Bring your own instruments). Ideas

 

Location: Shady lawn adjacent to the Rec Park/ Billie Jean King Tennis Center, on Federation Dr. north of  Deukmeijan Dr. Map

Cost:  $12/ class, or 4 classes for $40. Multi-child discount offered at $10/ class.

2 Class Cost Options:

Adriana Manfredi, MFA is a lifelong singer, pianist, music educator, and community music activist. After completing schooling at Oberlin Conservatory and CalArts (BMus./MFA), she settled in Long Beach in 2003 and has developed an adventurous and eclectic musical life singing for the Los Angeles Master Chorale at Disney Hall, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, and has sung on various film scores with SAG-AFTRA singers (she can be heard on the scores of such films as Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph, Big Hero 6, Minions, The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker). Her students have been accepted at music programs worldwide, including the USC Thornton School of Music, CSU Long Beach, Mannes School of Music, the Manhattan School of Music, and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She has taught Music for Little Mozarts and has led early childhood music/ family music experiences since 2001, taught singing, collaborative music, theory and ear training for a 12 year tenure at the Orange County School of the Arts in Santa Ana (OCSA/Classical Voice conservatory), and currently maintains a private home studio (affiliated with the National Association of Teachers of Singing and the Music Teachers Association of CA). She can be found spending time with her two sons, tap dancing (in fact, her tap shoes often make an appearance in music class), leading family coffeehouse singalongs, and teaching preschool music at two campuses of Little Sunshine House in Long Beach.
