September Studio Corner
We have just turned the corner into fall studio! I’m so happy to welcome new students and continue making beautiful music with returning students of all ages and abilities . Some of you I’m seeing usher in a new phase of life or schooling, and some are even off to college! Whatever your music goals are, I’m honored to support you along the way.

We are enjoying our family coffeehouses at 88Keys Coffee, and are so grateful to collaborate with Omar and Anna, our NYC arts wellness partner Sing for Hope, our guest artists showing us all the many ways to have a musical life, and each other!
Please note the final family coffeehouse dates for 2026 will be October 31 🎃, November 14 and December 12.

Also, our sets are always archived via the Instagram studio page. Here was the September 12th set with Leo Manzari, Sam Ross, and YOU! https://www.instagram.com/reel/DdMw-RHAQUw/?stkn=NTk2aGNzazkxNmli
Music and Memory Residency at Long Beach Senior Center began in August, and you are invited to present! The goal of the class is a time of sharing and connecting music and wellness goals for our senior citizen neighbors in a casual format. Students in school, it will be a summertime project, as we meet the first Tuesdays of the month at 10am. Those who are available, please join us to present and share your music in a unique format.

NATS STUDENT EVALUATIONS are coming up! Singers, Adriana will speak with you about registrations and repertoire. Our deadline is October 10 to register. Info here https://natslachapter.org/sep-1
STUDIO SPOTLIGHT- Ashley Pearce
I first met Ashley in February 2021, where she started piano from scratch. Over the years; it’s been a pleasure to watch her grow as a musician and an artist. I will never forget her showing up in her Spooky Clown costume on my porch quite early on in full character for her lesson, and celebrated the season composing original lyrics for a song to match her costume. We have a blast sounding out songs she hears and likes- she is a Frank Ocean fan, for instance. Now, one finds Ashley playing piano sets at family coffeehouses, the senior center, and playing competitive water polo including at the junior olympics this past summer! She is an amazing example of a young musician who balances her competitive sports and music - hard to do as any family can attest! Brava to Ashley!

Studio Spotlight ONWARD!
I love seeing what former students are doing in the world musically. Chloe Ness comes to mind, beginning her studies in the popular music program at USC. With the passing of Dolly Parton, she and her friend Jackson U’Ren covered Do I Ever Cross Your Mind. Enjoy!
Curious to begin your own musical journey via private study?
I am excited to work with you and look forward to a time of growth and learning. I work with community musicians of all ages and abilities who want to build technical skills to express their authentic artistry.
